Paul treated all of us to dinner and Venezia gelato ice-cream at the Art Meusem today. BTW, it's the first time i tried Venezia ice-cream in my life. To me, it's like some 'high-class ice-cream' in some high-class cafe, with super good atmosphere. Good place to chill out too, that is, if you are willing to spend big bucks.

Anyway, found out that he had prepared $80 for the treat. That's like so generous.. i don't think i'd ever bare to spend $80 to treat my juniors, especially when i've just gotten my first job.

Updating this in my office. Desperately need to do something, if not i'll fall asleep..

2 more days to the end of my internship, but well... don't ask me how is it. The only thing i could say is, i've got to know a bit more about myself. i know i can't take it if a job requires me to be seated at my desk for 8 hrs straight. I won't mind doing photocopying, or other things that requires me to walk around, if not, i'll definitely fall asleep halfway through work.

There was a theft in my office today. My colleague who was sitting right across me found that her iPod was gone after she came back from lunch. And her ipod was kept in a hello kitty pouch in her bag, which she left on her table when she left for lunch.

i've never really spoken to her before. and I don't usually pay attention to who actually walks to her desk during lunch time. so when she asked me who passed by her desk before, i couldn't answer her question.

What's worse. I lunched in today with other interns, and i'm the only one who was seated nearest to her desk when everyone else was out for lunch. And this makes me the biggest suspect people would immediately think of.

they actually suggested checking everyone's bag, but eventually they din do it. I don't know why, and i hope i won't be misunderstood.

is stealing other peoples' ipod really that worth it? What's the point of stealing someone else's when they don't have the iTunes software? What's the point of owing an ipod which has someone else's name engraved on it?

haha... i've been slacking since this morning. There's nothing for me to do! The CEO wasn't free and there's no desktop at my desk (or should i say, there's nothing on my desk!)

So i was pretending to keep myself busy all the while until 2 plus, until the CEO was free to meet me.

He's a nice guy. My job scope was to handle a project during the length of my internship:

- set up a database from scratch (i dunno which software i should use, man)
- draft letters to companies, do following up, meeting them, etc (something like what i'm doing for bizcom right now)

i'm still trying to figure out how i should go about doing the database. Am gonna look like a computer geek soon....

P.S. My feet is all sore from blisters. First day of work only and i'm suffering from wearing heels. Can't imagine how i'm supposed to wear heels for 4 months...

Went for my internship interview yesterday. I was in the meeting room with the HR manager and the dept manager. It was soo scary. Both of them were so professional until i felt as though i was speaking to the school principal and teacher. The dept manager i spoke to was in charged of doing compliance work, sth related to law, i supposed.

So i received a phonecall today from the HR, asking me if i wanna try doing market research for her General Manager. working under the GM?! wow~~ that wasn't wat i expected yesterday. Though it kind of deviate from what i'm studying, but it's a good opportunity. haha... Anyway, i'll be meeting the GM next monday when i report for work. Giving it a try.

But... does this try means that i've gotten my internship? i'm very confused actually...

anyway, i got rejected for both of my internship applications for nol and daimerchrysler. hai... the competition in smu is too stiff. it seems that only the elites can get internship and job offers with good companies.
